Google Business Profile Management Services

Optimization is the foundational service among our stand-alone service options. Although we don't make it a prerequisite, we highly recommend it if your Google Business Profile is new, if you've just claimed ownership of it, or it hasn't been maintained in a long time. Consider it as an initial assessment and/or "housecleaning" of your Business Profile with the aim of maximizing its effectiveness as an ongoing marketing tool for your business.

Use our online Optimization service request form to submit the core details (listed below) for your Business Profile to us. We'll review each of them to help you ensure that they're completely and accurately entered in your Profile and meet the criteria of Google's numerous Business Profile policies . This is of primary importance, as it can mean the difference between an active or suspended Business Profile or—at the very least—can affect whether Google tends to suppress or to display your Profile to prospective customers in their search results for the products or services that you offer.

At that stage, before we modify any of the core details (see below) in your Google Business Profile, we'll evaluate what opportunities there may be to further enhance them to improve your Profile's search ranking (SEO) and appeal to customers: We'll factor in the nature of your business, its category and region, and we'll have a comparative analytical look at the details of the Profiles of competitors that are ranking higher than yours on Google Search and Maps. This assessment is normally done in 24-48 hours.

We'll then email you our recommendations, where appropriate, for modifying certain of those core Profile details—focusing especially on your business description. Our making those modifications will be included in the price of the Optimization service, if you approve them.

You'll then reply to us within 72 hours to confirm your acceptance or rejection of our recommended changes, at which point we'll perform the update accordingly. Or, if we haven't heard back from you within that timeframe, we'll conclude our fulfillment of this service by updating your Business Profile with the details that you originally supplied in the Optimization service request form, with the exception of any content that we believe may not comply with Google's policies . ℹ Google's documentation states that, if you change your business name or address after requesting a verification letter, Google will require that you verify your business again . Now, to the best of our knowledge, Google doesn't send letters for verifications. It does mail postcards, though. Google's documentation can be ambiguous and self-contradictory in places, so we recommend proceeding as though changing your business name or address will require you to re-verify by whatever method Google chooses. Contrary to what is stated in some places in its documentation (but not in others), you generally can update the business name and address prior to verification. So, to avoid unnecessary delays, do be sure that your business name and address are added correctly before you attempt verification the first time.

This on-demand month-to-month service entails our monitoring for unexpected changes made by Google to the details of your Business Profile based on its algorithm or in reaction to suggestions from the public.

We perform repeated checks for unanticipated changes: once each week during the calendar month.

Monitoring applies to the core Profile Detail Groups listed within the scope of our Optimization service described above. This change-monitoring service does not apply to Profile content that typically increases in volume over time and/or is too intrinsically detailed for us to perform a thorough, point-by-point comparison of it from one week to the next; such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Photos (although we will check for the continued presence of the cover photo and logo image)
• Videos
• Customer Reviews and Responses
• Posts
• Products

We will notify you by email whenever we see any update made by Google to your applicable Business Profile details and ask you how you want to proceed: The price of this service includes our either accepting or discarding any of Google's automated updates per your instructions. However, the editing of a Google update needs to be requested through a separately-billable Routine Update service request.

This on-demand service is for adding or updating any number of Profile Detail Groups at one time. The price shown is per Profile Detail Group, as outlined on our Routine Update service request form.

Example

You need to update your business address, add a 2nd and 3rd telephone number, and change two of your social media links in your Google Business Profile. Altogether, we count these as 3 Profile Detail Groups. You'll use our Routine Update service request form to submit these details to us to update them in your profile. Your cost will come to 3 x $4.00.

Upon receiving your update request, we will examine the new details to ensure that they comply with Google's Business Content policies , and, if the details you submit will have implications for SEO (search-engine optimization), such as your business description, then we'll also give you recommendations for enhancing that. This on-demand service covers the publishing of an Update Post, Offer Post or Event Post that does not contain a photo or video.

We examine the details of every Post to help you ensure that it complies with Google's Business Content policies as well as to give you recommendations, where appropriate, as to how the content could be modified to make it more engaging to customers and more effective for SEO. When we have recommendations, questions or concerns about the content, we will reach out to you before publishing the Post on your Business Profile. This on-demand service covers the publishing of an Update Post, Offer Post or Event Post that contains a photo.

We examine the details of every Post to help you ensure that it complies with Google's Business Content policies as well as to give you recommendations, where appropriate, as to how the content could be modified to make it more engaging to customers and more effective for SEO. When we have recommendations, questions or concerns about the content, we will reach out to you before publishing the Post on your Business Profile.

In addition to checking that the content shown in the included photo is Google-compliant, we will also make sure that the photo file meets Google's technical specifications as follow:

• Maximum of 720 pixels on the longer side
• In JPG or PNG file format
• 5 megabytes or less in file size

If the length or width of the image is greater than 720 pixels, then we will resize the image by reducing its longer side to 720 pixels while maintaining the image's original proportion of length to width. If the final image's shorter side is less than 250 pixels, it will not meet Google's minimum resolution criterion and will be unusable.

We will not increase the size of a small image, as that would degrade its quality.

We will not crop/trim/cut any part of your original image.

If the image file isn't already in JPG or PNG format, we'll convert it. PNG is the preferable file format, as it better retains image quality when displayed at various sizes. However, if the converted PNG file's size would exceed Google's maximum limit, then we will convert the image to JPG instead.

We examine the details of every Post to help you ensure that it complies with Google's Business Content policies as well as to give you recommendations, where appropriate, as to how the content could be modified to make it more engaging to customers and more effective for SEO. When we have recommendations, questions or concerns about the content, we will reach out to you before publishing the Post on your Business Profile.

In addition to watching the included video to confirm that the filmed content is Google-compliant, we will also make sure that the video file meets Google's technical specifications as follow:

• Minimum 720 x * pixel resolution
• File format: MP4, MOV, or WMV
• Maximum duration: 30 seconds
• Encoded in a supported video codec: H.264, H.265, or VP8/VP9
• Maximum bitrate: 8 Mb/s
• Maximum frame rate: 30 frames per second
• 75 megabytes or less in file size

If the video file isn't already one of the supported file formats and/or doesn't meet the video codec, maximum bitrate or frames-per-second criteria, then we will attempt to convert it and/or adjust its properties and re-save it in such a way that all of the technical specifications are met while the maximum file size is not exceeded.

We will not alter the actual filmed content of the video to make it fit Google's criteria, such as by cutting out segments or speeding it up to make it shorter. If the video's duration exceeds 30 seconds or its resolution is lower than 720 pixels, it will be unusable.

We examine the details of every Product Listing to help you ensure that it complies with Google's Business Content policies as well as to give you recommendations, where appropriate, as to how the content could be modified to make it more engaging to customers and more effective for SEO. We examine every Photo to help you ensure that it complies with Google's Business Content policies as well as to give you recommendations, where appropriate, as to how the content could be modified to make it more engaging to customers and more effective for SEO.
